Plantation Teak Logs

Teak (Tectona Grandis) grown in the plantations in South America is a renewable wood resource. Teak is known to mankind for its extraordinary endurances and high resistance to fungus, termites and other wood borers owing to its natural oil content, which not only serves as preservative in wood but also prevents corrosion of metal fittings and fixtures.

Plantation grown teak timber is thus, a proven structural timber for special end use requirements where stability, durability and appearance is important. Dimensional stability is an attribute of dense fibers and its closely knit pattern that controls the shrinkage and weathering to minimum.

In the form of Lumber, Plantation teak is the ideal solution for all kinds of frame structure such as doors and windows, stair cases, flooring, hand rails, decorative casings, ship and boat buildings. The specialized usage of Teak Lumbers is also there in the chemicals industry for vats, extractors and washing towers, where no other wood performs as good as Teak.

Its attractive and pleasant surface makes it ideal as a worked veneer for furniture, panels and all types of decorative design.

Availability options:

Teak logs are available in both round and rough squared shape in more or less following configurations:
